My name is Catherine Taylor Morgan. I am twenty-three years old. I was born and raised in Charleston, West Virginia. At a young age, soccer became my passion. For almost eighteen years I lived, breathed, and embraced the competition and discipline of the game. Spending most weekends on the road traveling for tournaments around the country really gave me a close bond with my parents who support me through thick and thin. I am the classic example of someone living in a  small town where opportunities for soccer and high school education are not always up to par. I always knew I needed to go and find myself outside of West Virginia. For these reasons I knew my future would be forever changed leaving for an elite sports academy and boarding school in Florida at age sixteen.

IMG Academy is unlike anything anyone can ever explain. Unless you experience it for yourself you will never truly understand the life you live during that time. I never knew how much of an impact and influence it would have on my life perpetually. During the two years I spent there we had an extremely demanding daily schedule and class load that prepared me for my college experience. At the end of my junior year in the spring of 2010 I was recruited and then committed to play Division One soccer at the University of South Alabama where I played the 2011-2012 season.

A very important aspect of my life is my love for scuba diving and the underwater experience. My love for the ocean started at an early age and at twelve I became a certified scuba diver. I joined my parents diving in the Caribbean, Bahamas, and Hawaii where I developed a ever-growing interest in the conservation of the marine world. I have been doing underwater photography for five years and find it is a perfect fit tapping into my creative abilities.
